Lab Mascots

Picture
Penny is a yorkshire terrier/poodle mix. She contributes meaningfully to all aspects of the lab's research. She aspires to run in circles continuously, munch on baby carrots, and become your friend.
Picture
Mochi is a calico house cat. She enjoys napping indefinitely and sitting on overheated laptops. She is Internet-famous for winning research grants.
Picture
Boo is a tuxedo house cat. Despite her brief time in academia, she has already mastered the art of relaxation and work-life balance. Boo aspires to increase mental health care access and to one day catch the bird outside of her window.
Picture
Luna is a maltese/poodle mix. She is 50% beauty, 50% brains! Luna is up for tenure at Cute Pups University, where she is a professor in Psychology and the Art of Receiving Treats. She contributes this vast knowledge to the lab in her spare time and hopes to retire in Bora Bora!
Picture
Guoba is a Jindo mix. She is passionate about ameliorating mental health disparities in marginalized communities. She has great expertise in napping and is a compelling orator: She is particularly well-known for her speeches on the understudied importance of going outside for walks.
Picture
Cola is working in the lab towards her degree in Scampering Dynamics (SD). Her research is primarily focused on testing the limits of how much kitten can fit into how small a space. Preliminary research indicates that she can fit in very small (p < 0.05) spaces. Additionally, her work has provided evidence for the strong correlation between snuggles and positive mental health (r = 1.0).
