Prospective Research Assistants

Although we do not always have open positions, Dr. Schleider accepts applications from undergraduate students and recent college graduates to join our lab on an ongoing basis. Applicants being considered for a Research Assistant position will be contacted for an interview.

Prospective research assistants should have a interests and long-term career goals that align well with our lab's ongoing projects.  Previous experience working in a psychology research lab is preferred but not required.

Qualities and qualifications valued in research assistants include, but are not limited to: eagerness to learn; proactive work ethic; ability to work well independently and as part of team; time management; professional communication; enthusiasm for contributing to scientific research; academic excellence (overall GPA 3.5 or higher); prior RA experience, especially (though not necessarily) with children and/or clinical populations is preferred, but not required; and strong interpersonal skills.

Undergraduate and volunteer research assistants must commit at least 9 hours per week for at least two terms (fall, spring, summer).  Student RAs can enroll in PSY 273 to earn credit for their work in lab.

Currently (as of 1/25/2023), we ARE NOT reviewing applications for new undergraduate research assistants.
