Project EMPOWER is a free, science-backed, 1-session online program for anyone interacting with children, teaching skills to build bravery and reduce anxiety in children and pre-teens.

​Who is this intervention designed for?
EMPOWER was designed with caregivers in mind, but anyone who works with or cares for children may find the program helpful.

How does this intervention help?
Project Empower teaches how to best respond to a child's experience of anxiety through story-based exercises centered on real-life situations and build a personalized action plan.

What have we learned about this intervention so far?
301 high-anxiety parents were randomized to receive Project Empower or Informational Control (with access to Project Empower after two weeks). Overall, those who completed Project Empower reported significantly decreased parental accommodation and increased distress tolerance.
